BOD Workplan

The Sea Horse Board of Directors approved the following workplan at a special BOD Meeting in March, 2023

Pending items to be updated are: Target dates and status of completion, you will see the plan is set by directors. Please note: This is “Work in progress” and aligns to our proactive approach towards setting goals and performance it will be updated throughout the year and posted on the Sea Horse Website

Sea Horse Board of Directors 2023 Objectives:

Overall consider having working committees associated with each director for greater impact and homeowner engagement.  New Committees being identified.  Have 2-3 goals per director, proactive approach.

a.    What can be done within the current 20 hours by priority.
b.    To be ready for consideration in the development of the 2024 budgeting process if required
2. Water usage – policy updated and aligned to laws- to be board approved.
Secretary1.    Consistent communications for board, social, park manager, inclusive of emails, letters, notices
2.    Logo – branded consistent.
3.    Annual homeowners survey  
Treasurer  Economic Advisory committee in place:
1.    Current Contracts – create or extend? Manage
2.    Insurance Policies – review
3.    Reserves- manage & follow timelines.
4.    Revenue from Grow Financial – increase $ Others:
5.    Park management future consideration
6.    Cheques vs. Direct Deposit
  
MaintenanceConsider splitting into 2 categories and evaluate director role.  
1.    Esthetics:  Look of the overall Park beauty (garden committee, pool committee, summer construction etc.)
2.    Infrastructure – Proactive (inclusive of capital improvements, reserve initiatives, big projects) develop a committee, and liaison to board with recommendations.
3.    Seawall tie backs- Annual greasing and link to budget.  
  
Rules and Regulations1.    Rules and regulations updated to reflect 2023.
2.    Form a rules and regulations working committee.
3.    Evaluate: Compliance Committee- address violations  
  
Sales1.    Develop and implement a welcome committee, develop welcome package.
2. Process to be developed with Park Manager to ensure the sales director receives names to cover information, to ensure to cover ALL new homeowners other than an official sale.
