Dear Homeowners

On behalf of the Board of Directors  just a reminder about ( *Construction) see footnote #1  for in the Park, you will find this information in our: 

Sea Horse Homeowners Association Inc Rules and Regulations:  #18 Construction- more details can be found there

A copy of these rules are  on the Sea Horse Park Website ( Link to Website) or can be requested from the office

This is a simple view of the process explained 

 Sea Horse Park Association   Procedure for Construction  by  owner

( construction meaning *additions of new docks and external add-ons to  existing units or property  ) 

so mainly a change in footprint:

  1. Owner submits diagrams and detailed descriptions to the office.
  2. The office-Travis reviews paperwork. 
  3. If no problems/concerns , the office-Travis:  time and date stamps application ** see footnote #2
  4. The office-Travis makes copies for all Board members.
  5.  Board members review construction projects  & details & potential onsite visit.  Project is listed under New Business on the meeting  agenda.
  6.  The Maintenance Director and/ or board member suggests approval or disapproval.
  7.  Board approves or disapproves project via vote at Board Meeting
  8.  Owners are notified of the decision by writing from The office-Travis. 
  • footnote#1 applies to additions of new docks and external add-ons to  existing units or property  : 
  • footnote **#2: additional step : exception is during summer months then a summer  construction committee  reviews  and advises the board in writing of their decision to the board to approve at Board Meeting ( as traditionally the board meetings were more seasonal or special requests, therefore in order to approve construction projects  in a timely manner and  not delay homeowners request)
  • NOTE residents are responsible for all their own permits
