Debris Situation

Hello Travis
Please share with the Homeowners.

The entire Sea Horse Park has now been cleaned up,  roads are clear and passable from the “debris” . Health and safety was a huge concern for everyone.

The park almost looks normal , after the  mass devastation of 2 hurricanes, as far as major debris. If we had left the park as is, I do believe the park could have been considered “condemned” and rodent infestation.

The county arrived  yesterday (October 23, 2024) to pick up the major piles of debris created on Bay Pines Blvd, as the park was filling up space wise. This was ideal to draw attention that we needed help – after many efforts and calls to the county for assistance.

We will provide an idea of overall costs when finalizing  the monthly expenses plus we are pursuing $$ back, according to Governor Ron DeSantis announcements , that applications can be made for reimbursements.

The qualified contractors that Sea Horse Park hired went above and beyond in the meticulous efforts to clean up our streets. Plus thank you to so many volunteers from within the Park, homeowners and external volunteer organizations helping out, it took an army to restore our roads safely.  We still have a long road ahead with the overall Park assets and fencing – more to come on this at a meeting scheduled for next week.

So most importantly, from October 24th, 2024 forward each homeowner must take care of  any “newly added debris” on their property: contact your insurance, county or other sources previously shared ( check out link: FloridaDisaster.org)   to be sure it’s not  left out on your front lawns, causing health and safety concerns and an unsightly park. Normal “garbage” pick up has resumed, so please put out only “household trash” out for pick up.

A very Special thank you for John Mastrantonio to oversee this huge initiative and Peter Richie for finding quality  workers, in a time when so many other parks and residents  were in desperate need of this type of service from the 2 Hurricanes.

Thank you

Sue Pettigrew, President
Sea Horse Park Board of Directors
